The windows are okay. How does it drive?

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Jason Joe Flanagan, 46, of Hampton, was arrested
yesterday morning after damage to a car was reported at the Gainesville Kia dealership on N. Main Street.
Gainesville Police Department responded to a report of damage to a car at the dealership and items missing from another car; a review of surveillance video at the dealership reportedly showed a man, later identified as Flanagan, swinging a metal sign at a car at about 5:00 a.m., breaking several windows and causing about $4,000 in damage.
Employees of the dealership told the officer that the man was still at the dealership when they arrived, and he knocked on the door and asked for pliers so he could help his friend start the car, which he said his friend had purchased. An employee who went to check on the car in question noticed the damage to the vehicle; while trying to get the man’s name, he reportedly saw the man enter another car and remove some items before walking away.
The responding officer reported that he found Flanagan, who matched the description given by dealership employees, walking a few blocks away and detained him. Post Miranda, Flanagan reportedly admitted to damaging the car, saying it was purchased by a friend of his and that he “was testing to see if it had bullet-proof windows.”
Flanagan has been charged with burglary to an unoccupied vehicle
and criminal mischief with damage to property over $1,000. He is being held on $15,000 bond.

  1. Just about everything greater power than a .25 Auto will go through a side window that does not have window tint. The calibers that will penetrate DOT spec windshields are 22LR/mag, 38 Super, 357mag. 10mm, 41mag, and 44mag. There are others but they are not remotely considered daily carries as they are hand cannons. There is a Kevlar microfiber window tint that will stop most handguns with the hand cannons and the 41mag and 10mm being the exceptions.
