Saturday is not a day of rest around this house - my wife sees to that...

I now completely understand why so many men my age around here drink during the day as much as they do...
I'm playing golf tomorrow morning so godforfuckin'bid
I should have nothing to do today, right?. Jeez.

That pie shit pushed me over the edge.

Los Angeles County is maintaining a high Covid-19 community level, which means a universal indoor masking mandate could be enacted as soon as next week, health officials say.
In Los Angeles, the average test positivity rate remains high, at 16%, Department of Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer said during a Covid-19 update on Thursday. While daily reported cases have leveled off, with about 6,700 new cases daily, she said that the community level must decline back to 'medium' by July 28 to avoid an indoor mask requirement occurring on July 29.
In LA County, there is a continued rise in the number of Covid-positive patients admitted into hospitals over the past week, according to Ferrer. This increased from roughly 1,200 a week ago to 1,329 on Thursday.
Covid-related deaths in LA County remain relatively stable at 13 deaths per day on average, although this is an increase from last month, with an average of five daily deaths, Ferrer said.
That's just blind adherence to the numbers that were arbitrarily created and totally ignoring the science that says those masks are fuckin' worthless, but hey - I'm not a biologist. What do I know, right?

Back in 1983, Lake Mead was so full that the Hoover Dam’s spillways were opened on July 3, creating a show for tourists. It was the first time the spillways had been opened since 1941. The dam opened in 1936. The Bureau of Reclamation said the lake reached its highest elevation of 1,225.85 feet on July 24, 1983.
Since then, it’s been a slow decline for the reservoir, thanks to a 22-year megadrought. They'll also claim that the reduction in river flow to Lake Mead is because of Global cooling/Global warming/Climate change/Whateverthefuck, but couldn't it be that they're just asking too much of the one lake to supply so much to so many? That sounds a lot more plausible to me then the climate bullshit.

This NASA Satellite composite time-lapse photo montage illustrates the reduction in size of the lake in just the last 20 years.

Why anyone would ever want to go in to politics I'll never understand. It must be some kind of ego-rush thing that I'll never appreciate. This poor fuck had to listen to some jackass talk about his theory of the world being flat and all kindsa bullshit the day after that motherfucker tried to kill him. And that fuckin' guy wasn't charged with attempted murder and was let out of jail with no bond at all. That's just frikkin' craziness.

As Moderna's profits soared during the Covid-19 pandemic their executives and even their employees have been reaping the benefits in the form of pricey real estate close to the company's headquarters in the Boston-area. According to a new feature in the Wall Street Journal, among those who have made big purchases are the company's head of litigation, Neal Dahiya, who bought a home in the Boston suburb of Cambridge for a cool $3.45 million. The company's workforce increased dramatically during the pandemic. In 2019, Moderna had just 830 employees. At the time of writing, the company has a staff of more than 3,200, that's up from 2,700, in 2021. In 2021, the company's average salary was just over $133,000. Moderna's revenue in 2021 was $18.5 billion. Shares of the company are up from $28 in early 2020 to $166 at the time of writing. The stock peaked at nearly $500 in August 2021. Earlier this year, Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel issued a pledge to donate the proceeds from his stock options, estimated around $355 million to charity.
