All I can do is try to make you think for yourself.

The LAST thing I'd wanna do is do your thinking
for you. I got enough problems on my own...

Really don't mind if you sit this one out - my words but a whisper your deafness a SHOUT. I may make you feel but I can't make you think. Your sperm's in the gutter your love's in the sink. So you ride yourselves over the fields and you make all your animal deals and your wise men don't know how it feels - to be thick as a brick...

Really good photography can conjure a story
on it's own. The first thing I thought of when
I saw this was - is he leaving or just getting home?
See what I mean?

Something to ponder on your way to church this Sunday: EVERYTHING that happened in the Quran, The Torah and The Bible all took place within that little teenie, tiny circle. Why do you suppose that is?
...

Because we're idiots, that's why.
And don't kid yourself - the stupidity kicks in
at a really young age. Juss' sayin'...

This is incredible. Back in even the 80's - fourty years ago - this city was still the armpit of New Jersey. Corruption, crime, the whole nine yards. The only people still living there were the ones who couldn't find the exit. Now? Holy shit...
You’ve heard people complain about the notoriously high costs of living in New York City and San Francisco. But guess what - there’s somewhere else in the US that’s more expensive to live in.
The title now goes to none other than Jersey City, located right across the Hudson River from Manhattan. Yes. You heard that right. Sometimes referred to as the invisible sixth borough of New York City, rent there now averages $5,500, according to a report by the listing portal, Rent.
To compare, last month, the average rental price in Manhattan topped $5,000 for the first time in Big Apple history. The high rental rates in Jersey City could be justified by a rise of new luxury developments that have added to the city’s skyline, luring tenants from across the Hudson.
“Rental prices have surged across the United States during the pandemic, spurred by a spike in inflation and a wave of tenants moving farther from their urban offices as they settle into remote work,” Jon Leckie, a researcher at Rent, told the New York Times.

Leckie also explains how more renters have fled cities, like New York, and are opting for places like Jersey City — where there is more space, and as they become more comfortable with longer, but less frequent, commutes. Remote work continues to be a driving factor in this scenario.

How is this even possible? We are the greatest, most-productive country ever on the face of the earth, and these idiot bureaucrats can make this shit happen at a whim? That's just fuckin' crazy. What equally crazy is the fact that baby food is not regarded as a 'consumer product' as is normal food like canned corn or pasta. It's treated like a pharmaceutical and regulated by the FDA. Can you believe that shit?
The nationwide baby formula shortage has worsened with almost 70 percent of all brands reported out-of-stock, despite President Joe Biden's efforts to make infant milk more accessible.
Families in Rhode Island and Vermont have been hardest hit by the shortage with out-of-stock rates at 79 percent and 78 percent, respectively. Biden and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have made it easier for foreign manufacturers to get shipments into the country, and appealed to companies such as Nestle and Reckitt to step up production.

French consumer goods company Danone on Wednesday said it had shipped more than 750,000 cans of its flagship Aptamil baby formula to the U.S. from Europe, with another 550,000 cans on the way. However, parents struggling to feed their children have slammed the administration, with one Louisiana mom alleging it seems like those in power 'just forgot' about the ongoing crisis. Amber Bergeron, who took to Facebook about the hardships of finding formula for her preemie twins, has described the ongoing crisis as 'disgusting,' noting she is 'sure these politicians' babies eat.'

And the sand-castle virtues are all swept away in the tidal destruction - the moral melee. The elastic retreat rings the close of play as the last wave uncovers the newfangled way. But your new shoes are worn at the heels and your suntan does rapidly peel and your wise men don't know how it feels to be thick as a brick.

As hurricane season hits its peak, Florida’s top emergency manager is warning of the potential for major electrical problems after a storm hits. “We’re in an area of which supply chain issues are becoming more and more of a problem,” Florida Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie said.
Guthrie’s comments came as part of a presentation to the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council in Orlando last week. He relayed the concerns expressed to him by one of Florida’s power companies. After the first incident in the country, there will be a supply chain problem,” he said. “They will be able to get the power restored, but there are certain businesses or neighborhoods that may be on a generator power for months to years. That’s going to be problematic.”
“This is not a municipal utility issue. This is not a Florida-specific issue. This is a national issue,” Amy Zubaly said. Zubaly heads up the Florida Municipal Electric Association, which represents the common interests of Florida’s 33 public power companies. She said it is taking longer for utility companies to obtain “hurricane basics,” such as transformers, wire and poles.

Maybe next time we have one of those chinese-made, world-wide pandemic things, we'll be smart enough not to shut the entire fuckin' planet down, creating supply-side problems like this...
