When all else fails, blame racism. Or Putin. Or climate change. or whatever....

We live in a world nowadays where everything that might be wrong or bad is somebody else's fault...

Long before cell phones there were comic books.

I guess I was really kinda lucky to grow up when I did. I wonder
how kid's imaginations will develop when all of their focus
is on the electronics in the hands...

Ya wonder if they do it on purpose...

Sometimes, compromise doesn't solve anything

There are a lot of really cool, useful, and unbelievable inventions that have transformed how we live that weren't around in your great-grandfather's world. The ones that have the most profound impact on my day-to-day life are connected to some of the basic ones in our hierarchy of needs:
1) The modern toilet. We use it everyday and take for granted that cultures and methods that have come before weren’t always the most hygienic or have adequate and safe plumbing.
2) The refrigerator and freezer. The ability to store our food for use in the future for days or years is quite remarkable. Opening the fridge and staring at what to eat next hasn’t been a thing for that long in human history.
3) The microwave. Your parents didn’t have one growing up most likely. The ability to instantly heat up and cook food in seconds or minutes is amazing… and doing so without dying from radiation is an added bonus to be sure.

Ya know, Joe has been so full of shit his entire life, so much so that even he doesn't know when he's bullshitting and when he isn't. Can you imagine being so fuckin' confused about everything because you can't remember what you lied about when?
...

You can't make this shit up. At the end of this month, the state government of California will increase the state tax on gasoline, from 51 cents per gallon to 53.9 cents. California has the highest taxes on gasoline. It also has so many nonsensical  environmental regulations that make gasoline more expensive in California.
California’s reformulated gasoline program is more stringent than that of the federal government - California gasoline must use a different formula in warmer weather in an effort to curb pollution. As a result, gas prices in the state are typically higher and more variable because few supply sources outside of the state are able to offer California’s unique blend of gasoline.
To help fight the increasing burden of high gas prices and inflation, California governor Gavin Newsom wants to send every registered car owner $400 debit cards. To stop inflation, Newsom thinks he wants to increase consumer demand. he doesn't realize that increased demand is what causes inflation.
Right now the average cost of a gallon of diesel is $6.99 in California – just a bit below the all-time high of $7.01 two days ago. California taxes diesel at 13 percent.

Time to start getting serious again...

just don't give up - this was on my Fakebook wall yesterday. What possible good could ever come from something this inane? Ah, fuck - maybe that's why I'm not rich and they are. Juss' sayin'...

Today is the longest day of the year here in the northern hemisphere - the official start of summer. Big fuckin' whoop. It's been over a hundred here almost every day for the last four weeks. Welcome to central Florida...

Ya know, sometimes people say shit just so they can think they sound important or intelligent or relevant or whateverthefuck reason or reasons. In this case, whoever this minister is, she's a fuckin' idiot.
Just my opinion there, pastor.

If you voted for Joe I seriously doubt you'd be reading this blog on a regular basis, but really - no kidding - if you voted for the guy, how's that workin' out for ya? (Asking for a coupla million friends).

  1. On your list of modern inventions, I'm surprised you didn't include the cordless drill. I'd rank it second only to indoor plumbing.
