Hey Joe - yer either gonna help 'em or you're not. Make up yer mind.

Oh, that's right. You can't remember
where and when you lost it...

The thing I don't understand is why he didn't send them all this shit two months ago when the troops started arriving at the border.
Is he really that gutless and timid?

Biden is likely to discuss the $1billion defense package he plans to offer Ukraine on Wednesday, likely to include the Switchblade drones. Volodymyr Zelensky will also address the U.S. Congress on Wednesday, and is expected to ask for more weapons to fight Russia. Ultra high-tech drones could be on his list. The small, lightweight and comparatively cheap Switchblade weapons are designed by Washington DC-based AeroVironment. The most powerful of the two Switchblades, the Switchblade 600, weighs 50lbs and can hover over a target for 40 minutes before darting down at speeds of 115mph, piercing armor and destroying a tank. The lighter Switchblade 300 is intended to kill people in the open and passengers in a vehicle. It weighs only 5.5lbs but can travel for six miles, hover for 15 minutes, and then dive down to a target at 100mph. Both Switchblades are designed to be easily portable, fitting into a rucksack and fired from a tube set up in 10 minutes.

Faced with rising gasoline prices, many Americans are now looking to
switch to an electric car. But the shift away from fossil fuel vehicles has been criticized by Senator Joe Manchin, who has said he is “very reluctant” to see the proliferation of battery-powered cars.
There has been a surge in interest in buying electric vehicles (EVs) in the wake of the war in Ukraine, analysts say, with drivers in the US unnerved by gasoline prices that have surpassed $4.30 a gallon as a result of the conflict and the supply chain issues from the pandemic.
Biden has repeatedly championed the EV market as a way to tackle the climate crisis, with America’s heavy dependency on polluting cars a major source of planet-heating emissions.

But Manchin, the centrist Democrat who holds a key swing vote in the US Senate, has poured scorn on the idea of phasing out gasoline and diesel cars.
“I’m very reluctant to go down the path of electric vehicles,” Manchin said at the energy conference CERAWeek, held in Houston. “I’m old enough to remember standing in line in 1974 trying to buy gas – I remember those days. I don’t want to have to be standing in line waiting for a battery for my vehicle, because we’re now dependent on a foreign supply chain, mostly China.”
Manchin, who has taken more money in political donations from fossil fuel interests than any other senator, also said he has “a hard time understanding” why the federal government would invest in a network of electric car charging stations, as the Biden administration aims to do.
“I’ve read history, and I remember Henry Ford inventing the Model-T, but I sure as hell don’t remember the US government building filling stations,” Manchin said to applause. “The market did that.”

Russian lawmaker wants Alaska back.

The governor of Alaska has responded to suggestions from a Russian
lawmaker that the country wants his state back by warning Alaskans are armed and would resist.
Governor Mike Dunleavy was responding to comments from Oleg Matveychev, a member of the Russian Duma, who told state TV on Sunday that Russia should be considering reparations from the U.S. for lost territories.
The remarks came amid the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Kremlin announced sanctions against President Joe Biden and other U.S. officials on Tuesday, including former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Dunleavy, a Republican who has been governor since 2018, shared an article from The Daily Mail about Matveychev's comments and tweeted suggesting that Alaskans would resist any attempt to reassert Russian claims to his state.
Speaking on Russian state TV on Sunday, Matveychev told Sunday Evening With Vladimir Solovyov that Russia should be considering reparations and specifically highlighted former territories of the Russian empire.
Speaking on Russian state TV on Sunday, Matveychev told Sunday Evening With Vladimir Solovyov that Russia should be considering reparations and specifically highlighted former territories of the Russian empire.
"The return of all Russian properties, those of the Russian empire, the Soviet Union and current Russia, which has been seized in the United States, and so on," he went on. When he was asked whether that included Alaska and the former Russian settlement of Fort Ross in California, he suggested that he also had those territories in mind.
"That was my next point. As well as the Antarctic," Matveychev said. "We discovered it, so it belongs to us." Alaska was a territory of the Russian empire in the late 18th and 19th centuries but was purchased by the U.S. in 1867 for $7.2 million. Fort Ross, located near San Francisco, was sold to a private buyer in 1841. Russia has never formally asserted claims to Alaska or land in California.

Yeah - get a mental picture of what would happen if they tried
to tell Aaron Judge he can't play because of this stupidity. It'd
make the Seattle and Portland riots look like kid's play...

And I love Goya - great products, and they've been a Jersey institution for forever - I remember the "Goya - Oh Boya !" commercials from back in the 60s !
