One of these days ESPN will figure it out about the NFL...
They'll figure out it's not the announcers that people don't like - it's the players...
The streaming wars have come for professional football. Amazon spent the better part of 12 months backing up the Brinks trucks to try to lure anyone and everyone away from the traditional NFL broadcasters to prop up its new Thursday Night Football vehicle – ultimately landing Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit for a reported $24m per year combined.
And while Amazon was expected to be the great disruptor in the broadcasting arms race, it’s at one of the traditional networks that the merry-go-round has had its most transformative effect. ESPN pinched Joe Buck and Troy Aikman from Fox, handing over a Friday night college football game for the rights to pay the duo in excess of $100m over five years to rejuvenate its flagging Monday Night Football brand. Good luck with that.
Viewership for NFL football is down the toilet. No matter who's calling the games, nobody's watching because we're all sick to tears of these over-priced, over-pampered, over-tattooed showoffs. It's just that simple.

Revisiting the Disney thing from the other side...
Jose Castillo, a Disney employee and Congress hopeful, said Disney is 'making a terrible miscalculation' by (not) supporting the 'Don't Say Gay' bill. 'There's this misconception that everyone at Disney are just raging liberals and I think that can't be farther from the truth,' he said on Wednesday.
Castillo, who is also running for Congress in Florida, said his employer's decision to oppose the controversial Parental Rights Bill, which has been dubbed the 'Don't Say Gay' bill, could be 'bad for business' as not everyone is a 'raging liberal' who works there.
'There's this misconception that everyone at Disney are just raging liberals and I think that can't be farther from the truth,' Castillo said on Fox News on Wednesday. 'I have tons of people that are working for the Walt Disney Company that reach out to me daily on social media [that are Republican].'
He argued that Disney's liberal stance on the bill isolated conservative workers who 'voted for our state legislator,' which passed the bill. Castillo also agreed with Fox News' Laura Ingraham that supporting the 'small minority' of 'loud' LGBT workers at Disney could cause a boycott.
Ingraham suggested that conservatives might stop coming to
the park as they don't feel welcome and Castillo said conservatives
workers need to be 'loud.'

They even added a couple of letters to the friggin' thing...
Now it's LGBTQIA. E-I-E-I-O. Can you spell inclusiveness
without gagging it it?
If I ever spend another dime on anything 'Disney, knee-cap me, please. Old Walt is probably spinning in his grave...
A Disney executive vowed more inclusivity in its productions - as the entertainment giant works to make underrepresented groups, such as racial minorities and the LGBTQ community, account for at least 50 percent of its regular characters by the end of the year.
Karey Burke, president of Disney’s General Entertainment Content, said the company must do more to make its content more inclusive in a company-wide Zoom call Monday that was later posted to Twitter.
“I’m here as a mother of two queer children, actually,” Burke said on the call. “One transgender child and one pansexual child, and also as a leader.”
Burke said she supports featuring “many, many” characters who are LGBTQIA, which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer (or questioning), intersex, and asexual (or allies).
The call was part of Disney’s “Reimagine Tomorrow” campaign, according to the video posted on Twitter Tuesday. Its website promises that 50 percent of regular and recurring characters across the Disney universe will come from “underrepresented groups.”
The Disney honcho said she had been dismayed to learn from a colleague that the company only had a “handful” of queer lead characters in its content. The statement came after some Disney employees staged walkouts and held protests against the “Don’t Say Gay” bill that’s now law in the Sunshine State

For the record, I don't mind - or care - if someone
is gay or not, but I will say this:
Being gay is for adults - it's not child's play.

And the first shoe hits the floor...
If there is a god in heaven, this is only the beginning of her end, and her 'end' is fuckin' HUGE. Juss' sayin'...
The Federal Election Commission has fined Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) for lying about funding a discredited dossier, which attempted to smear then-candidate Donald Trump.
A dossier written by former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele was circulated to the FBI and media outlets before the 2016 election. Its unproven assertions that Russia had embarrassing information about Trump and some of his campaign's advisers were meant to damage Trump.
The FEC said Clinton and the DNC violated strict rules on describing expenditures of payments funneled to the opposition research firm Fusion GPS through their law firm.
The FEC, in a memo to the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, which filed a complaint more than three years ago, said it fined Clinton's treasurer $8,000 and the DNC's treasurer $105,000.
"This may well be the first time that Hillary Clinton - one of the most evidently corrupt politicians in American history - has actually been held legally accountable, and I'm proud to have forced the FEC to do their job for once," Dan Backer, who brought the complaint on behalf of the foundation, which focuses on free speech and the First Amendment, said yesterday.
There is little doubt in anyone's mind that she whole-heartedly endorsed this whole bullshit scam, and it wouldn't surprise anyone that it was her idea in the first place.
At some point, Bill's connection to Epstein and Love island will also finally come out and we can all pop a beer, sit back in our BurkaLoungers and watch these two scumbags crash and burn.

especially on any full-moon night - you'd know that you have been
to someplace very, very special.
Here's what you'd see from the water side:

President Joe Biden is preparing to order the release of up to
one million barrels of oil per day from the strategic petroleum reserve in a bid to control prices that have spiked after the US and its allies imposed strict sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. The announcement could come as soon as today.
This is not a strategic move at all, and will not help us out at the pumps in any meaningful way. You know full fuckin' well why he's doing it, and he hasn't a clue how dangerous and futile doing things like this are. It's there in case we go to war, nimrod. No other reason...

Bruce Willis’ family has announced the actor is retiring from the profession after being diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage that affects a person’s ability to communicate.
Medical experts say the impacts of aphasia can vary, depending on the person's diagnosis. But mainly, the condition affects a person's ability to communicate - whether it's written, spoken or both. People living with aphasia can experience changes in their ability to communicate; as they may find difficulty finding words, using words out of order or will even speak in a short manner.
He and I grew up together (sorta - we went to different high schools together) in Jersey. He's the same age as me.

are loose in their heads, don't it?
WTF could possibly be their reasoning for fucking with so many
people's lives? It's mind-numbing at times trying to understand
politicians and bureaucrats.

A wild sucker-punch was thrown during a high school track race
in Florida over the weekend. The punch occurred at the
Tohopekaliga Tiger Invitational in Kissimmee on Saturday.
The incident happened during a 1,600-meter race.
Witnesses said that the athlete who threw the punch
was not involved in the race. He was reportedly standing
on the track, and the runner in first place - who ultimately
got punched - told him to move out of the way.
