It didn't work the first 30 times we did it, but THIS time is different somehow?

It's Bike Week in Leesburg. Always a
lot of fun and this year especially...
They usually average around 120-150,000 people per year. The city fathers, acting out of an abundance of stupidity, cancelled last years Bikefest so only around 35,00 people showed up on their own. It was pretty friggin' amazing.

The media sucks. They take an isolated item of news from half-way 'round the world and draw a local parallel just ta scare people. WTF is the reason or logic behind doing shit like this? They gain nothing, it harms their credibility, and they sure as fuck aren't helping anything, so - why do they do it?
That's easy. They do it because they're jerkoffs.

In case you were wondering who is a true danger to this country, it's the politicians who condone the behavior of people like this guy:
Hawk Newsome, co-founder of Black Lives Matter in New York City appeared on Fox News on Saturday night and was asked about comments made this week. Newsome told reporters 'There will be riots. There will be fire, and there will be bloodshed,' if Mayor-elect Eric Adams reinstates the NYPD's anti-crime units. Incoming Mayor Eric Adams has pledged to reinstate the NYPD's anti-crime units, about 600 plainclothes officers that fight violent crime.
Asked by Fox News' Dan Bongino whether he 'condemned riots and burning down buildings after a police use-of-force incident', Newsome refused to take a stand. 'I'm not going to condemn, nor am I going to condone it,' Newsome responded. Bongino called Newsome's response 'cowardly' at which point he walked out and ended the interview.

More than a dozen NYPD cops have ditched the Big Apple to join the force in a small Florida city - part of a nationwide trend of disgruntled officers finding greener pastures in pro-police communities.
Lakeland - a community of 108,000 people 35 miles east of Tampa - mounted a social media campaign targeting NYC cops earlier this year, and in April dispatched a delegation to recruit in Times Square.
Fourteen former Finest moved to Lakeland in the past year - 12 of them wooed over the past two months thanks to the recruiting trip.
... like it's the stock display - looks more like a custom

Most people in the Netherlands reluctantly agree that 'sacrificing parts of their social lives can contribute to the greater good'.
The Dutch government has announced a lockdown-lite designed to limit social contacts, in response to a sharp increase in infections. A record 16,324 new cases were recorded in one day this week and they remain stubbornly high.
