Did our unflappable Grand Poobah Joe Biden really say that he'll 'Build better butter'?

Seeing is still not believing for some people. My wife steadfastly refuses to believe that cats will eat bananas. They do. The thing ya gotta worry about is when they start to learn to peal them themselves. Think about it.

An upstate New York couple may have finally solved the mystery of who's been tossing used coffee cups in their front yard for nearly three years.
Edward and Cheryl Patton told The Buffalo News they tried mounting a camera in a tree in front of their home in Lake View to catch the phantom litterer. But it wasn’t until some neighbors got involved recently and followed a minivan and jotted down its license plate number that there was a break in the case.
After Edward Patton called police, they waited and pulled over a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Larry Pope, who Cheryl Patton said had once worked with her and had had disagreements with her over union issues. Pope was charged with harassment and ticketed for throwing refuse onto a roadway.
“I found it very hard to believe that someone I knew would do something like that, especially at his age,” Cheryl Patton said. The Pattons said the littering has stopped since Pope was pulled over.
No one bothered to ask the guy why he kept all of the fuckin' paper cups?

Here's a true sign of these times...
A sign posted at Ruby Tuesday Restaurant here in The Villages (North Central Florida) explains the result of the staffing shortage at the restaurant. The staff shortages are effecting/crippling all food service industry sectors as people are being paid more by the government to stay home than they would make going back to work.
At some point someone in power might notice how fuckin' stupid this concept is and shut it down. Or at least you'd like to think they would. Juss' sayin'...

Nearly half of New York’s nursing home workers haven’t gotten the COVID-19 vaccine — so the state Department of Health is now putting more pressure on the facilities to bridge the gap. Health department brass issued new guidance late Thursday that requires nursing homes to offer “an opportunity to receive” the jab to all consenting residents and staff by April 29 and within two weeks of a new hire or a new admission.
Both staff and residents who opt out will need to sign paperwork acknowledging that they are declining. Facilities that don’t comply with the new rules may be penalized up to $2,000 per violation, the DOH said.

Russia will withdraw from the International Space Station (ISS) project in 2025 and has notified its foreign partners of the decision.
The ISS, which was launched in 1998 by the Russian and U.S. space agencies, has been a rare area of cooperation between Moscow and Washington amid sharply deteriorating relations. But the ISS, which has been continuously occupied for more than 20 years, is expected to be retired around 2030. It's been a grand adventure.

Speaking of totally fuckin' crazy...
They're cute and seem harmless enough but they can get incredibly loud and combative. They're insanely expensive to keep, disagreeable by their very nature, and are absolutely untrainable.
The one on the right is a kangaroo. I don't know jackshit about kangaroos.
The USS NEW YORK Built from steel from the towers of 9/11. Notice the Twin towers. It is manned by a crew of 360 sailors and three permanently assigned Marines. Her motto is “Strength Forged Through Sacrifice – Never Forget.”

A team of scientists claim that they’ve revived a plant from the Pleistocene era, which lived 32,000 to 28,000 years ago. Silene stenophylla was revived after it had been ingested by an arctic ground squirrel about that long ago ago. I'm tellin' ya - I'm in the wrong business.

This to me is by design by the government - they are taking advantage of this crisis (that never let a good crisis go to waste thing) by forcing a labor shortage - thus forcing businesses to increase their payrates to be competitive enough to get those still wanting to work and maybe incentive enough for others sitting out work to finally be productive people. For the record - I run operations for a company with multiple locations in multiple states and we have been chasing pay rate increases and incentives to get azzes in the door... for unskilled workers no less. Its getting worse even as our pay rates go up. No need for a federal minimum wage - businesses are increasing rates without it. When we go bankrupt from not doing the work because we do not have the people to do the work - or from high pay rates that price us out of the work - problem solved - we can all be on gov dole right
