The vaccine's here - when will everything get back to normal?

I think they're gonna have to redefine normal...

...

Just in case you thought all of the bat-shit craziness was just here in the State...

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro criticized the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine on Thursday. He suggested that the vaccine could result in strange side-effects, such as women growing beards and people turning into crocodiles.
Bolsonaro has revealed that he does not intend to be vaccinated. Despite the president's claim that Brazil is at the "tail end" of the pandemic, the country is currently experiencing a huge surge in new COVID-19 cases. Brazil has the second-highest coronavirus death toll in the world.

Former national security advisor Michael Flynn said on Thursday that President Donald Trump should impose martial law to overturn the results of the 2020 US election.

Specifically, Flynn told the pro-Trump network Newsmax that the president should deploy the military to "rerun an election" in battleground states that he lost to President-elect Joe Biden.

Shoppers walk on Regent Street in London on Dec. 19. A new 'Tier 4' shutdown will apply in the hot-spot areas around the capital starting today.

More than 16 million Britons are now required to stay at home as a lockdown came into force Sunday in London and southeast England, part of Boris Johnson’s attempt to control a fast-spreading new strain of the coronavirus.

This is the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in my old neighborhood in Newark, where I grew up. Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve was a HUGE deal back when we were kids. I wonder if they even still do it there. I also wonder how they manage to keep this place open. The Catholic Church is pretty much bankrupt here in the States.

Over-hyped fears are nothing new with COVID, neither are vaccines.

People lined up for smallpox vaccinations outside a hospital in the Bronx after an outbreak in New York City in 1947.

Mass vaccination has been one of the most successful public health interventions in the world and has played an important part raising U.S. life expectancy by more than 50% over the last century. About a third of U.S. deaths in 1900 occurred in children under age 5, many of them from diseases like smallpox, measles and whooping cough that are now preventable by immunization.

Tandy was Radio Shack and vice-versa. They're both gone now because of their inability to forecast changes in markets and consumer needs. Think K-Mart and Sears as well.

That's very evocative, isn't it?
There's an awful lot to read in to this shot. THAT is what makes for great photography, and that's why it's as much an art as anything else.

Google says that the global authentication system outage which affected most consumer-facing series on Monday was caused by a bug in the automated quota management system impacting the Google User ID Service. This worldwide system failure prevented users from logging into their accounts and authenticate to all Cloud services.
Even Blogger shut down for an hour or so.

In October, Indonesian diplomats and Muslim clerics went to China to finalize deals to ensure millions of doses reached Indonesian citizens. The clerics had a big concern: Whether the COVID-19 vaccine was permissible for use under Islamic law.

As companies race to develop a COVID-19 vaccine and countries scramble to secure doses, questions about the use of pork products ( banned by some religions) has raised concerns about the possibility of disrupted immunization campaigns. Pork-derived gelatin has been widely used as a stabilizer to ensure vaccines remain safe and effective during storage and transport.

I keep telling you. New Jersey is getting crazier and crazier by the fuckin' day. Get out while ya can!

The gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson Brands Inc. sued New Jersey this week after the state demanded information about how the company has advertised to residents.

New Jersey subpoenaed Smith & Wesson in October for an array of documents, according to the complaint. While the request “allegedly seeks evidence of consumer fraud,” its real purpose is to weaken Smith & Wesson and the 2nd Amendment, the lawsuit alleges. The company says it shouldn’t have to hand over any documents.

  1. Seems to me I read that after Clapton played with Jimi, he was not a happy guy. Felt like he got his doors blown off.

  2. Wow, that picture of Bardot had to be snapped in France or a similar country, because I’m thinking that if it was done here in the USA,someone would’ve got arrested for her being a minor. Looks like she would’ve been about 16 there
