What's the problem today, Mary?

When you have nothing to say,
say what you will as loud as you can...

Thomas Payne

Who the fuck exactly runs these news places anyway?
They're friggin' crybabies. Jeez.

I guess that makes sense though because we've turned
into a nation of cry-babies and woosies anyway.

According to CNN,
Florida's governor keeps hitting new lows
in the battle against coronavirus

The panty lickers at CNN don't like the fact that DeSantis is allowing Monday Night Raw to be broadcast - without an audience - next week. They keep using the phrase that the Gov has deemed WWE 'essential'. WTF is wrong with these jagoffs?

Really...

Stimulus Checks: 3 Things Social Security
Beneficiaries Need to Know

Hey - bite me. I'm 67. This shit's important.

1. Social Security recipients are eligible for a stimulus check. If you're collecting Social Security benefits of any kind -- whether it's retirement benefits, disability benefits, or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) -- you are eligible to receive a stimulus check.

2. You don't need to file a tax return. Most Americans will need to have filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return to receive their stimulus checks, but that rule doesn't apply to Social Security beneficiaries. Previously, Social Security recipients were told that they would need to file simple tax returns with information like their income and number of dependents.

3. Beware of scammers. With the rise of the COVID-19 pandemic, many Americans are feeling vulnerable - making them prime targets for scammers. There has been an increase in coronavirus-related scams, with fraudsters selling fake "cures" for the virus and impersonating doctors and telling victims that they need to make payments to cover the cost of a loved one's treatment.

Some background on this.

I was on an Amtrak train heading down to Ft. Lauderdale in the winter of '74. When I got seated I met and hung out with the original Marlboro Man - the guy from the ads was sitting next to me. He was friendly and we started bullshittin' pretty much right away. Anyway, I had my guitar with me, and he and I decided we needed cocktails so we both went back to the bar car to hang out.
In those days the bar cars actually had a piano in them, and there already were a coupla guys and gals with guitars and harmonicas and other stuff, and they were all playin' and singin' - it was a lot of fun! We ended up skipping dinner and just hung in the bar all night.
Around midnight, fully juiced and highly motivated, we started playing this song. We played it - this exact song - non-stop for more than an hour and a half.
Every time I hear this song, I think of that night and those people. What a wonderful memory.

Georgia Bar Owner Removes $3,714 Worth
of One Dollar Bills Stapled to the Walls
to Pay Her Employees

Jennifer Knox, the owner of The Sand Bar on Tybee Island in Georgia, went to work with several of her employees to remove thousands of one dollar bills that customers had stuck to the walls over the years for good luck. After the currency was taken down, it was counted and final amount was $3,714. Knox used this money to pay her employees.

FYI - I've been in this bar. Friend of mine who lived on Tybee back about 8 years ago usta hang out there.
It's a pretty cool place.

The bread here in Florida is absolutely
friggin' worthless - it's terrible.

This is the kinda good, rich smelling, crusty bread I grew up on. Our favorite bakery was named after the family (of course) that owned it - Calandra's Bakery on Bloomfield Avenue in Newark, NJ. It's still there 50+ years later. I can close my eyes and still smell this place.

This place was like a church to me. All of the breads and pastries and cookies and hard rolls and everything else - they're ALL my favorites.

I so fuckin' hate the fact that here in Florida the bread is atrociously terrible. It's like it's made for people with no teeth. It's a waste of fuckin' effort.

Thanks God for ALDI though.

They bring this in frozen from Chicago. It's an absolute life-saver for me. Good crisp, hard crust, delicious middle, makes a fuckin' deadly toast. I would have to move if this shit wasn't available.

They even had signs made up?
Are these people completely nuts up there?

Obama's endorsement won't help Biden

After months of silence, former President Barack Obama is reportedly set to endorse his past running mate, Joe Biden, for president. But Obama’s endorsement won’t mean much, and it likely won’t help Biden, either.

Obama’s endorsement is supposed to unify the Democratic Party — that’s why he’s waited so long to support a specific candidate. He wanted to throw his weight behind the voters’ choice, so as to prevent further division from spreading within the party’s ranks. But there’s very little left to unify. The voters who could have been swayed by Obama a few months ago have no problem voting for Biden now.
