If it takes five machines 5 minutes to make five widgets, how long would it take 100 machines to make 100 widgets?

If it was that easy I'd have a tree.

Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg recently suggested that he plans to continue taking money from billionaires in closed-during fundraisers, despite scrutiny and criticism.

During a campaign event over the weekend, student activist Greg Chung asked Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, directly about the concerns. "I wanted to ask if you think that taking big money out of politics includes not taking money off of billionaires and closed-door fundraisers," Chung asked, in a clip that has circulated on social media. Answering immediately, Buttigieg responded: "No." The candidate then walked away to talk to other attendees at the event.

Sean Savett, Buttigieg's campaign's rapid response communications director, told Newsweek via email that the the candidate does "not accept contributions from registered federal lobbyists, corporate PACs or the fossil fuel industry." He added that "Pete has made enacting critical campaign finance reforms part of his campaign platform, including strengthening the FEC [Federal Election Commission] and pushing to overturn Citizens United and Buckley v. Valeo, if necessary, by a constitutional amendment."

They're all duplicitous scumbags.

How far over the cliff are we these days?

(From NEWS4 NY) Parents of Sunset Park (NY) School students are stunned after learning that second-graders participating in swimming lessons at a Manhattan fitness center have shared a locker room with the club’s sometimes-naked adult members, according to a report.

An NY Post article alleges that club members, as well as teachers, were in the locker room where they saw the children naked and vice versa.

Oh, my God - that's unfuckingbelievable.

Golf cart drivers in the Villages aren't letting traffic laws get in the way of their fun

(From Orlando Weekly) - A woman in The Villages was caught cruising a golf cart on the street Sunday. She was spotted at the intersection of County Road 466A and Buena Vista Blvd., just outside the Sandhill Executive Golf Course.

Villages-News reported the woman apparently made a mistake, quickly hopping back on the cart path that runs next to County Road 466A.

The Villages woman didn't appear to be intentionally taking her cart on the street the way of another recent golf cart driver, who casually took the definitely-not-street-legal ride across County Road 466 from the Colony Plaza shopping center to the Colony Professional Plaza.

As far as elderly, zero-Fs-to-give swag goes, whippin' a golf cart off the course and across the street is way up there. It sounds like the opening scene to a granny-rap music video.

Florida has more elderly drivers than any other state in the country, including both permanent residents and snowbirds who head down to drive here every year. It's estimated that 900,000 people make the annual migration, increasing the state's population by 5 percent.

For many of the nearly one million temporary residents who can afford to flock to Florida, wintering in the Sunshine State is about soaking in rays and leisure. Migrating south, specifically to Florida, is also a favorite of retirees, prompting the Pew Research Center to call the state one of the grayest in the union.

The Villages is a favorite for richy-rich snowbirds and, for some who reside there, all the world's a country club.
