Another nail in the Chinese coffin? Not really...

Biden announced a 100% tariff on Chinese-made electric vehicles yesterday as part of a package of measures designed to protect US manufacturers from cheap imports. In a move that is likely to inflame trade tensions between the world’s two biggest economies, the White House said it was imposing more stringent curbs on Chinese goods worth $18bn.

There are a couple of sad realities in this. It's too little too late as far as China's surplus of imports in to the country, and it really doesn't make a difference because no one is buying EVs anymore sufficient to support the industry, let alone Chinese-made ones. Have you ever even seen one?
The accompanying article for this is here.

  2. 100% tariff? That's OK, from now on everything coming from China will 100% break within a month.

  5. It is a tariff on EVs that don’t exist because China is building them in Mexico and under the USMC agreement the exports into the U.S.will be tariff free. So a lot of hot air as usual. All about the optics, after all there is an election coming up.
