What's the Vegas line on the white smoke guy?

Bookies - legal and illegal - around the world are getting crushed with bets on who the new passenger in the Popemobile will be...

Sticking to the Vatican's tradition of electing a new pope, cardinals from around the world will gather in the conclave to determine who will become the next Pope in the next 15-20 days.
As such, bookmakers have had their say on who that person will be by releasing their Next Pope Odds. Currently, the betting favorite is Cardinal Pietro Parolin at odds of +200. These are the remaining candidates who could ascend to the most powerful position in the Roman Catholic Church and guide the 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide through what critics call a "very challenging spiritual future."

🕊️ Next Pope odds

Candidate     Odds   Probability
Pietro Parolin      +200 33.3%
Luis Antonio Tagle +275 26.7%
Peter Turkson        +500 16.7%
Robert Sarah       +550 15.4%
Matteo Zuppi        +600 14.3%
Péter ErdÅ‘               +1000 9.1%
Kevin Farrell     +1400 6.7%

Here's yet another bullshit, totally friggin' meaningless 'study' of which beer is most popular in which state. First and foremost there's no fuckin' way Heinies are the most popular brew here in Florida. That has to be 110% bullshit. Juss' sayin'...

Here's a simple question for you guys. Are you cool with the lack-of-format format that I kinda got going here? I know you read other blogs as well - any comparisons you wanna share?

The election of a new Pope will hopefully bring some attention to where the Cardinals will be voting - in the Sistine Chapel. I went through it on a tour of the Vatican a number of years back and I will admit that it was the most awe-inspiring, no-bullshit absolutely breath-taking thing I have ever experienced. Oh - and don't think they don't exist because the do - I got a Popener in the gift shop...

There's one very good reason why I prefer to not use the public swimming pools that are available to us. There are three in  our neighborhood alone, plus the one at the country club up the hill from my house, and you know what that reason is...

In vino, there certainly is a shitload of veritas. Juss' sayin'...

The snack aisle at any given gas station or convenience store. Doesn't matter which, they're all pretty much the same in size and content. Truth is, there is absolutely nothing is that aisle that's good for you. The insane amount of ingredients - binders, fillers, spices, preservatives, gums, god-knows-what, all of it - should be a warning in and of itself that this shit ain't good for you, and yet there we are in the guilty pleasure section deciding whether to go with the spice-powder-dusted Doritos or the Habanero flavored asshole burning potato chips. Oh, boy!!!

  1. I think the big question is whether the next pope will be Catholic. Last one wasn't.

  7. Giusepp', you asked, "Are you cool with the lack-of-format format that I kinda got going here?" Well, yep, you bet I'm cool with it. Otherwise I shouldn't visit several times daily to get my jollies' fix. Keep the fun coming!

  10. You have a hell of fine website and the no format makes enjoyable perusing. As to the next Pope, he'll be farther left than the last one taking the Catholic Church the way of the Democrat Party. And Miller Beer in Nebraska? I have to clean up cans on the mile long ditches in front of my farm and I haven't seen a Miller can in years. Busch Lite, Budweiser, occasional Pabst, and a scattering of other brands, but never Miller. I assume Miller paid for this survey.
