Sure, you can afford to live there, but why would you? It's Iowa, ferfucksake...

Here in the US, home affordability has been struggling due to a combination of rising home prices, high mortgage rates, and stagnant wages for many households. While some indicators show slight improvements, the need for a substantial income to purchase a home remains a significant challenge, especially for middle-income buyers. The median sale price of a home in the US - a staggering $416,900.00 - continues to be a significant barrier for many potential buyers.
Higher interest rates have increased the cost of borrowing, making it harder for buyers to qualify for mortgages and increasing monthly payments. A lack of available homes for sale, particularly in desirable locations, has put upward pressure on prices.
But Iowa? Are you a corn husker at heart? I wonder if there are any beaches or palm trees there...

  1. live in maryland and have baltimore run your life? why is delaware the same as jersey? the prices for what you get and the real estate taxes in delaware are far lower than jersey.

  2. The home affordability is BS in GA. There are two Georgia's. The metro Atlanta area and the rest of the state. I sold a home on a 3/4 acre lot in Metro Atlanta for $450k and purchased a much nicer home of the same size in south GA with 7 acres of land for $390k.

  4. Iowa is not the "Corn Husker State". That distinction belongs to Nebraska.

  5. House prices follow the law of supply and demand. I wonder where those 10 million illegal aliens Biden let in live.
