Frenchies can't sleep in the bed they've made for themselves...

Paris officials, following a request from the police prefecture, have canceled the traditional open-air concert on the Champs-Élysées for New Year's Eve 2026 due to security concerns. The midnight fireworks display at the Arc de Triomphe will, however, still take place.
Authorities cited the risk of crowd crushes, unrest, and security concerns as the primary reasons. Some news outlets, including the New York Post and commentators on Newsmax, framed the decision as a response to fears of "migrant violence" or "Islamic terrorism," though official statements primarily focused on general public safety and crowd control issues - which we all know is bullshit...
Instead of a live performance, a pre-recorded concert, filmed in November at the Place de la Concorde, will be broadcast on national television. The decision has sparked debate, with some sources viewing it as a pragmatic safety measure and others interpreting it as the city "giving in to terrorism" or losing control of its public spaces.

There's a video of this report here.

While the large public gathering on the Champs-Élysées is modified, numerous private New Year's Eve events, parties, and dinner cruises are still scheduled to occur across Paris.

My personal favorite. I have one in the kitchen and one in my shop.

  2. Yep: mislums everywhere are making sure that a country's traditions are all stopped until they activate their own traditions: public stoning of women who do not cover their hair......

  3. Five to one muslims hold a mass victory public prayer session in place of the new year's crowd.
