After criticizing Trump’s $250 million project as “destroying” the people’s house, social media quickly reminded Clinton of the controversial Lincoln Bedroom scandal, where her husband allowed high-dollar donors to sleep in the presidential quarters in exchange for contributions. 

As users pointed out, the Clintons' own history is far from pristine when it comes to the integrity of the White House. 

Even as the Trump family funds the renovation through private donations, Clinton's remarks only fuel partisan divides.
