In spite of the old gag that FIAT stands for "Fix It Again Tony," I owned two FIATs and they were great cars. The problem with FIATs here in the U.S. is that the parent corporation never established a U.S. parts & service organization, so that ordering simple maintenance parts often took weeks, if not months, before the part would ship & arrive.
ResponderEliminarI worked at a place called Fisher Auto in Elizabeth NJ back in the mid-70's where they processed-in Fiats when they came off the boat. The cars felt like they were made of tin foil compared to american cars
EliminarI used to be along term subscriber to Consumer Reports until the year they said the Fiat 128 was the best car ever made.
