Looking back. Way back...

Saturday matinees at the Elwood Theatre in Newark, NJ. There'd be at least two but more likely three movies, a short film or two and a couple cartoons. Cokes were ten cents and popcorn 15. The audience would be 98% kids, and there wouldn't be any trouble. Parents drop you off at 10:45 and pick you up at 4:00. Very innocent, very different times...

Great last-minnute gift ideas

  1. I remember my mom dropping us three kids off at the movie theater in the late 60s, early 70s. I was maybe 5 or 6. I don't remember the soda or popcorn, we probably couldn't afford it. The matinee was 10¢. I don't remember seeing any adults. Maybe the teenager taking tickets at the door.

Innocent before they're proven guilty? Is that the reason mediaites love using that word? It's a fuckin' joke. There's video...
