The very last circulating pennies, or “cents,” sold for over $16.76 million in a special auction by Stack’s Bowers Galleries on Thursday, December 12th, presented on behalf of the United States Mint. Included in the sale were 232 three-coin sets featuring one each of the 2025 penny struck at the Philadelphia Mint, the 2025-D penny struck at the Denver Mint, and a historic 2025 penny struck in 24 karat gold also at the Philadelphia Mint. Each of these special coins exhibits a small “Ω” privy mark of the final Greek letter Omega, indicating their role as the capstone to a two-centuries long legacy that first began in 1793 with the Chain Cent.

Sergio Manoel Da Silva, a flight instructor, was flying with a student when he collided with Philip Eric Haegler in Brazil. The video shows Sergio flying with a student in a red hang glider when he suddenly collides with Philip in a green paraglider. Philip’s paraglider approached quickly from the opposite direction and just beneath the instructor’s hang glider.
The footage shows parts of the equipment and the pilot’s body striking the paraglider before the canopy tangles and Philip loses control. Philip then hit the facade of a building on Avenida Prefeito Mendes de Morais around the 11th floor before plunging about 150ft.

President Donald Trump filed a lawsuit Monday seeking $10 billion in damages from the BBC, accusing the British broadcaster of defamation as well as deceptive and unfair trade practices.
The 33-page lawsuit accuses the BBC of broadcasting a "false, defamatory, deceptive, disparaging, inflammatory, and malicious depiction of President Trump," calling it "a brazen attempt to interfere in and influence" the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

Tis my hope the poor woman arrested for feeding the ferals brings attention to the matter and gets folks to help out/perhaps if possible home these little critters.

ResponderEliminarStray cats are a menace. There is no such thing as naturally occurring house cats in nature. They're like snakes imported to a country without snakes, that decimate the critters with no natural defense.
